This application is a unique alternative to proxies. As you may know, proxies are quickly detected by servers and blocked at work and school; however, this script has the advantage of not being so obvious as a proxy and allows users to use Twitter functions at a place where Twitter is otherwise blocked.

For the user to enjoy using Twitter at their workplace, they must first register on a connection where Twitter is not blocked. After this easy step, users can use the functions included anywhere Twitter is blocked.

Currently the script allows the user to update their status and see their home timeline where they can retweet status or delete their own. All functions are fully AJAX integrated, meaning the user does not have to leave the main index page when updating their status or retweeting others.

The login feature requires MySQL, where the user’s username and password are stored. The password is sha1 hashed to leave the user feeling safe that their password cannot be stolen. The script uses our unique RemoteTweet class (it only includes the functions relevant to this script however) which integrates the Twitter API using PHP and logging in securely using oAuth. The users’ twitter passwords are not stored but are kept as hashed tokens which leaves their details are secure when using Twitter’s oAuth.

If the user has reached the rate limit, the application will notify them and only enable functions when the limit has been lifted. Similarly, if their tokens become invalid, the script will only enable functions when they have been renewed.

We have not added AdSense to this application, however if you are considering buying it, please ask we can help you.
